Ride SOFAR: A Ride to the Rescue

Come join Sweet Olive Farm and ride to raise money and awareness of our farm!

What is it? The 1st Annual Ride SOFAR is a leisurely fun bicycle ride with various categories and lengths. Participate in rides from 1 mile to 50 miles!

When is it? Saturday, November 18, 2023 starting at 9:00am at the farm! REGISTRATION OPENS AT 7AM!

Who is invited? YOU! Your family! Your friends! Your neighbors! Your coworkers! EVERYONE!

Why is this happening? To raise awareness and funds for the farm, a sanctuary and home to more than 200 alpacas, donkeys, sheep, mini-horses, pigs, turkeys, and so many more rescued animals!

How can I participate and what does it cost? Be a Pig (a parent or guardian over 15 years of age) for $35 and have your piglets join you on a 10-mile turnaround course. Test your animal legs on a 25-mile course or 50-mile course as a Llama or a Donkey for $65 that travels throughout Oglethorpe County. Course maps are at the bottom of this page!

Preregistration has closed, but you can sign up at the event plus a $5 day-of fee.

But whether a Pig, Llama, or Donkey, you will receive a hat, food from Maepole, and something to wash it down with.

Piglets can sign up with their guardian and receive food and drink, but their guardians have a choice of whether or not they get a hat (free without a hat; $15 to include a hat).
